Well, that took me some time...

Sun Jun 7, 2009, 4:38 PM
As everyone can see, I've had the account for some time, but only used it to communicate with people here on DA and gather favourites. Now though, the account gets to be used properly - here's my first deviation and a few words on the pint-downing, lass-grabbing, klaive-toting shape-shifting Irish bastards that inspired it :)

The Fianna have always been my favourite tribe in Werewolf: The Apocalypse, despite or maybe just because of all the Irish-drunkard-bard-IRA-womanizer stereotypes attached. They are a tribe of true dichotomies, the greatest hypocrites of the Nation, who at the same time are the most sincere about their lives, their tendency for sullen moods contradicted by their love of women, songs, dance and wine, their love of a good fight mirrored the same by both the way they stand back to back in the face of a crisis, how they're ready to run for the rescue of each other, and the way a civil war has torn their society apart, with brothers and friends on both sides, lifting arms against each other.

They've known loss for many hundreds of years, losing their brother tribe, the proud and loud White Howlers to the Wyrm and losing their kin to the Black Spirals in turn. They know gain and worth of old teachings of skill and knowledge too, by being the best fetish craftsmen and some of the best ritualists out there.

The Fianna bring each sept their sorrows, their joys, their skill, their woes, their love, lust, loyalty, mistrust, justified pride and unjust hatred. They are often considered more trouble than they're worth, but at times they also seem to be all the help that's needed.

Well, there goes another round for the bloody bastards. And while we're at it... You know how some Get boast that they had to teach us how to fight when they came around? That might be just about right, but we had to teach them how to speak first! :D
